Are the Neighbors in Southern Hills Plantation Friendly & Welcoming?
Definitely, YES. I was blown away with how friendly everyone is in Southern Hills. Everyone waves when they pass each other in cars, golf carts or walking. While our first home in the community was being built, we would stop by and check on the progress. Neighbors would stop by, introduce themselves and welcome us to the area. As dog lovers and having our own dog, we quickly made friends with everyone else out walking their dogs. We felt welcomed right away and never have had a negative encounter with anyone in the community. Meeting up with friends at the restaurant or at Sunnies Pool Bar is always a great time!
Are There Community Events to Get to Know Neighbors?
Southern Hills Plantation offers many community events. Some examples include craft nights at the club, pool parties at Sunnies, poolside bingo, wine tastings, bourbon tastings, Yappy Hour (for pets and their humans), music trivia, music under the palms and the list goes on and on. You will never feel their is a shortage of social gatherings at Southern Hills Plantation. There are even a couple parties a year at the clubhouse to welcome new residents. This is a great way to meet people and find out about all of the social clubs including bridge, bunco, book clubs and so much more.
