Is Southern Hills Plantation Dog Friendly?

If you have pets, you always want to know if a neighborhood you are considering is pet friendly. Southern Hills Plantation is great for dog lovers. With miles of sidewalks and trails around some of the ponds, finding a place to walk your pup will never be an issue. If your dog is like our girl Dani, they will be letting you know every afternoon that they are ready for their golf cart ride!
The Plantation Club even host Yappy Hour where neighbors come together with their dogs to socialize and let the dogs get to know each other. It is loads of fun and sometimes the chef even makes some special homemade dog treats for our furry family members. In the late afternoon and early evening it is very common to see groups walking their dogs together, it becomes its own social outing… for us and the dogs. If you have dogs and are considering a move to Southern Hills Plantation I would love to talk to you about what other features make this community such a special place to call home. Is there a dog park at Southern Hills Plantation? Not yet. If you look at the master plan for the community, there is a dog park on the map but it has not been built yet. With so many miles of sidewalk, I am not sure it is all that necessary to have a dog park. Many residents with dogs have fenced back yards for their dogs to run and play in. I also know several residents who have doggy play dates in other neighbor’s yards. This is a great way for you and your dog to socialize! Maybe your dog likes to play inside your pool screen or swim in the pool like our Dani.
