If you have a Honda Pioneer SXS (and probably other SXS / UTV) you know that heat build up under the seat.  This heat is nice in the winter time as it works itself up around you and keeps you toasty and warm.  In the summertime…  NOT SO NICE!  It can get pretty hot riding around.  There are several things you can do to keep cooler.  One is to insulate the bottom of the seat cushion.  This does nothing to keep the area under the seat cooler but  keeps you cooler on top of the seat.

Another thing you can do, and the topic of this article, is to install an exhaust fan under the see and blow that air out by the left rear tire.  We used the same fan that is used to keep the hull of a boat vented.  The in-line marine bilge air blower is installed so that it sucks air from under the seat and blows it out under the cart.  Below I will list a general overview of the steps that we utilized to install the blower on our Honda Pioneer 700-4 Deluxe.  I will also provide links to each of the products we used on Amazon.  This project involves drilling, electrical, and mechanical connections.  If you are not comfortable with this type of customization, do not do it.  Hire someone to handle it for you!
