#1 – SuperATV Windshield for Honda Pioneer 700
Ok, we will now present our ideas for what the top accessories are for the Honda Pioneer SXS / UTV. This is assuming that you already purchased the roof from the dealer. Roofs are huge and expensive to ship so we would recommend getting that locally from your dealer. A hard top is a must have item in our opinion. The next item you should consider is a windshield. No matter how you use your 700, a windshield comes in so handy. Whether keeping you dry, warm, or keeping the mud off of you, we feel like all SXS / UTV should be equipped with a windshield. Although there are tons of Honda Pioneer windshields on the market, choosing the best one can be tough. We read many articles and reviews before settling on our top choice. We settled on the flip-up Honda Pioneer 700 SuperATV windshield. This windshield is super scratch resistant, durable, and can be set to open, vented, or fully closed. We have had great success with this windshield for over two years now and have no regrets. Just be careful and follow the manufacturer’s suggestions when it comes to cleaning your SXS windshield. UPDATE: the new version has two latches that prevents to bowing that customers were complaining about!
#2 – SuperATV Black Ops 4500 LB Winch for Honda Pioneer 700
Putting a winch on your Honda Pioneer increases the versatility of the vehicle. Depending on your use you may not think you have a need for a winch but let us point out a few uses for the winch, some you may not have thought of. You can use the winch on your buggy to pull yourself or your buddy out of the mud or sand while on the trail. You may use the winch to pull a fallen tree out of the trail. The winch comes in very handy for use during property maintenance. We have used the winch for standing up box blinds at our hunting lease. Lastly, it really adds a cool look to the Pioneer!
Like the windshield, we researched many winches prior to selecting the SuperATV winch for our Pioneer. This one, when purchased on Amazon, comes with the proper mounting plate and wiring for the Pioneer 700. CLICK HERE to see exactly which years and models it is available for. We have had the Black OPS Edition winch on the 700 for about two years now and it has never let us down. Some people with recommend a 3500 or 5000 LB winch for the Honda Pioneer but we find the 4500 to be the perfect size. We have the 700-4 Deluxe and it has always had plenty of pulling power. If you ever needed even more power you could use a snatch block which almost doubles the strength of your SXS / UTV winch. The article below offers a full description of the SuperATV Pioneer Winch with pictures and a video of the installed winch.
#3 – Replacement LED Headlights for Honda Pioneer 700
The headlight bulbs that come from the Honda factory in the Pioneer 700 are a little dim for most people’s liking. If you are like the rest of us you will want to upgrade to the LED Replacement Headlight Bulbs on your Honda. They are much brighter and put out more of a white light compared to the dim yellowish light of the factory incandescent bulbs. The ones in the link below fit our 2020 Honda Pioneer 700-4 Deluxe perfectly and were easy to install. CLICK HERE to see exactly which years and models they fit. At that link you will also see pictures from happy customers showing just how bright and clean the light is from these upgraded bulbs.
These appear to be the leader in replacement LED Headlight Bulbs. Even if you are considering an LED lightbar on the front of your SXS we would still recommend the headlight upgrade. When riding in a group a lightbar can sometimes be too bright and may blind others in your group. When that is the case the LED headlights are perfect for lighting up the road or trail without being over the top bright. These bulbs are 6000K white and are IP68 rated waterproof for years of trouble free service. You will find numerous discussions on the Facebook group mentioned above about LED headlights with the overwhelming majority being very please with them. We have had them in the buggy for about two years now without any issues. If I remember correctly these were the first upgrade we did to our Honda Pioneer when we first got it. After that… I was hooked on upgrading the buggy!
Replacement LED Headlight Bulbs for the Honda Pioneer SXS / UTV by Stark Industries. Super bright and clean light that is a super easy upgrade to install on your buggy. This is definitely one you want to consider shortly after getting your new 700!
#4 – ECOXGEAR Bluetooth Soundbar for Honda Pioneer 700
Much more than just a bluetooth soundbar, the ECOXGEAR Sound Extreme is an entertainment center for your Honda Pioneer. It offers so many features in addition to great sounding music. All speakers are backlit with LED lights that can be set to any color or can bounce with the music. The front features an LED lightbar. This is not a bright light or a replacement for a true LED light bar but is rather for looks. You can set the color of this lightbar as well.
This bluetooth speaker for the Honda Pioneer is built like a tank. CLICK HERE to see all of the waterproof and dust standards that this great speaker has. We have had it on the 700 for 2 years without any problems. Click the link below to go to our article that offers a full description of the EcoXGear SoundExtreme speaker with pictures and a video review of the installed soundbar on our 700-4 Deluxe.
#5 – Dasen Curved LED Lightbar for Honda Pioneer 700
Putting an LED lightbar on the front of the Honda Pioneer should be a requirement even if you never turn it on. They look great and really add to the style of the machine. The 50″ curved LED lightbar by Dasen is one of our favorites and the one that we have on our 700-4. It fits perfectly along the bottom of the windshield and puts out very impressive light. This lightbar, when purchased on Amazon, comes with application specific brackets that fit well and keep the light secure on the buggy. It does require slight modification due to the size of the roof support bolts but nothing too difficult at all. We discuss this mod in the article at the link below.
The light bar comes with all necessary wiring and even a toggle switch. We ended up not using the toggle switch as we wire the lightbar on our Pioneer through our 6 Gang AuxBeam flat panel switch. CLICK HERE to read about this great switch that includes a video of how we mounted the AuxBeam in our Honda Pioneer. We also have a video of the lightbar installed on the Pioneer at the link below to our complete review and article featuring the Dasen Lightbar for Honda Pioneer 700 model SXS / UTV. We have had the light over two years now and have never had an issue with this great product.
#6 – Nilight Rear LED Lightbar for Honda Pioneer 700
Since we are on the subject of LED Light Bars for the Honda Pioneer, lets jump right into the LED Lightbar that we found to work perfectly on the 700. Due to the shape of the back edge of the roof on the 700 we found the 20″ LED Lightbar by Nilight to be the perfect fit. As you can see in the picture below, the light seems like it was made to fit the back of the Pioneer right where the roof bumps up in the center. We also have a video that shows this even better if you click on the link below that will take you to the complete review article for the Nilight 20″ LED Lightbar.
The brackets that come with the LED lightbar are perfect for installation on the Honda Pioneer 700. They are very stable and hold the light very securely. Wiring and a switch are included with the light bar. As we discussed above for the front light bar, we also connected the rear light bar on the 700 to the AuxBeam flat panel switch on the dash. We just prefer having one switch panel instead of individual switches for each accessory. Once the light is installed and you see how bright it is we feel that you will be very impressed. It is also no issue leaning into the back of the buggy. I have never hit my head on the light as it is up high the way that it is mounted. Take a minute to click the link below and read more about this set-up.
#7 – A-Arm Guards for Honda Pioneer 700
A set of A-Arm Guards for the Honda Pioneer 700 SXS / UTV is a must if you do any type of trail riding or hit the mud holes. These guards are like skid plates for the A-Arms on the Pioneer and help prevent damage to the axles and cv boots. We have had them on our 700 since it was new and have never torn a boot. We ride a lot of clear cuts on our hunting lease and the guys without these end up with tears in their CV boots frequently. This is an expensive and time consuming repair that can generally be prevented with the guards. In this case the ole statement rings true… an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
We investigated various models of these guards and felt like the Honda brand A-Arm Guards were the best for us. We liked the way that they bolt onto the buggy and the level of protection they appear to offer. Click on the link below for a video of the A-Arm Guards installed on our Honda Pioneer 700-4 deluxe. There you will also find a more in depth review / recommendation of this great product. We have had no issues with this product to date and, with them being constructed of heavy gauge aluminum, have had no rust or deformation with all of the junk we have put them through.
#8 – Under Seat Fan for Honda Pioneer 700
Installing an exhaust fan under the seat of your Honda Pioneer SXS / UTV does not have to be a daunting task. It is also great if you ride your buggy in hot weather. The way that we installed the system, hot air is sucked out from under the seat and blown out by the left rear tire. Click on the link below to read the entire article that includes a list of everything used and a video showing how the fan is installed and how the duct is run out the back of the Pioneer. It definitely makes a big difference on hot days. We connected our fan to the AuxBeam switch so that when it is cold out we just do not turn the fan on.
The system is not complicated and the bilge pump by Seaflo is at the heart of the project. This is a 4″ marine bilge pump that is designed to work continuously in harsh marine conditions. Installing it on the 700 is actually what I would consider easy work for this air pump. The link below will take you to the article with the video so you can see just how the bilge pump is installed under the seat of the Honda Pioneer 700.
#9 – Rock Lights for Honda Pioneer 700
A big part of going riding with a group at night is seeing what everyone has added to their SXS or UTV. Your buddies will really like the look of these rock lights by MustWin mounted under your Pioneer. These lights are super bright, amazingly durable, and packed with features. When we installed the rock lights on our 700 we put them in each fender well. The come with a remote control, can be controller through a phone app, and we wired ours to the AuxBeam switch. These lights can be set to any color, can color change in various patterns and can bounce to the music. They will make your Honda Pioneer look like it is riding on a cloud.
There are many rock lights on the markets for offroad use but we honed in on these due to their heavy duty construction. They are actually made with an aluminum housing for years of rust / corrosion free service. The link below will take you to our complete article / review which fully explains installation of the rock lights on the Honda Pioneer along with details about the features and function of this amazing set-up. This is a real must have item for your SXS or UTV.
#10 – Rear View Mirror for Honda Pioneer 700
Ok, safety is always important when riding a SXS or UTV and adding a rear view mirror is an important step to making the Honda Pioneer safer for your next ride. This mirror by Kemimoto is a favorite in the SXS market as it is secure, durable, and gives a nice view out of the back of your Pioneer. This rear view mirror will fit the roll bar of the Honda Pioneer and holds secure. This is an alternative to the side mirrors or can be used in conjunction with side mirrors. We find the side mirrors are always getting bumped out of alignment and this mirror is always on point.
