Review of TaylorMade SiM 2 Max D Golf Driver
In the video below I hit my old driver and then hit my new Taylormade SIM 2 Max-D driver. The results are clear. On the internet you will find tons of articles and videos that claim to teach you how to cure your slice. Trust me, I have watched many of them and tried to execute them… without success. I do not claim to be any type of teacher or have any technique that is guaranteed to correct your slice in one hour or one or two sessions. However… The new Max Draw driver by Taylormade has virtually cured my slice. In the video I aim at the 200 yard marker on the driving range. With the old driver my shot starts a little left of the pole and finishes 40 yards to the right of the pole. Even in the most forgiving fairways that would be in the rough or in the woods. With the new driver you will see that I hit a nice fade. When I try to come over the ball a little I hit a slight draw. This club is so forgiving and such a pleasure to play with. I think the club has already paid for itself just in the reduction in golf balls I am now losing!
I have struggled with a slice since I started playing golf. About 20 years ago I was playing a lot of golf and got to the point where, when I really concentrated, I could keep my slice under control. Now, with a standard driver, I am in the wood / houses to the right of the fairway on every hole. I purchased the TaylorMade SiM 2 Max D (Draw) Driver golf club about six months ago and wow! Now when I want to hit a slice, for the shape of the hole, I have to try hard to come across the ball.
Since I switched to the Max D driver by TaylorMade my drives are mostly straight with an occasional draw. Although I have had no need to do so, the club is adjustable to provide more or less loft and draw bias. The club is available in left or right hand orientation, with regular / stiff / senior graphite shaft, and 9 / 10.5 / 12 degrees of loft. For me, I think I have paid for the cost of this golf club just in the drastic reduction in the number of golf balls I have lost and the reduction in quarters I have to throw in the swear jar after my drives!!!
There is tons of technology that goes into making this club so forgiving while allowing the worst of slicers to reduce or eliminate that issue. CLICK HERE to read more about the Twist Face, SIM Inertia Generator, Forged Ring Construction, Thru-Slot Speed Pocket and more. TaylorMade has really pulled out all of the stops when they developed this golf driver. My need for a dozen golf balls per round is gone and I am now enjoying my golf rounds much more.
At the time of this article writing, Amazon customers seem to be as blown away as I am about the TaylorMade SiM 2 Max Draw Driver and it’s ability to fix the slice of many golfers as reflected in the 4.6 out of 5 star review. Don’t go another round trying to play golf with that terrible slice… get your own Max Draw driver today.
