I have installed this 2″ receiver hitch on my Jeep Wrangler JL and it has been a great addition.  It was super easy to install and serves it’s purpose very well for me.  I have only pulled a small trailer with it one time, it did fine, but I mostly use it for a hitch hauler or for hauling bicycles.  The finish on the hitch seems to be good and is holding up great.

The hitch is rated for 3500 lbs of gross trailer weight and 10 % of that (350 lbs) for tongue weight.  I use that tongue weight as a guide as to how much I can carry on the hitch hauler when I use it with this receiver hitch.  I have hauled bags of gravel, heavy coolers, and jugs of chlorine for the pool and have had no issues with the hitch at all.  With our jeep being lifted, installation was a breeze.  The instructions were fairly straight forward but I didn’t even feel like we needed them.   As with all accessories I install myself on our Jeep, I recommend rechecking all hardware after using for a while to make sure everything is staying tight.

We also have used the hitch to haul a bike rack on our Jeep Wrangler JL (2 Door) and it works great.  With the Jeep being lifted it is easy to get to the hole for the installation and removal of the hitch pin, even the the oversized 35″ spare tire mounted on the back of the Jeep.  The hitch is very secure and makes you comfortable hauling you load on it.  Depending on the set-up of you Jeep Wrangler, they are rated to tow either 2,000 or 3,500 pounds.  Either way, this hitch is rated to tow 3,500 pounds so you should be good.

The hitch comes with the mounting hardware, the hitch, a hitch plug with retaining ring, and instructions.   It also includes a bracket to hold you trailer wiring plug if you have one.  We do not have a trailer light plug on our Jeep but the bracket accepts a standard 4-pin plug and keeps it in place so you are not dragging them down the road.  Powder coated finish is well applied and is holding up great even here in Florida.  The hitch is available for JL, JLU, and JK model Jeeps.  Just make sure you select the correct one for you Jeep.  The average review on Amazon at the time of this post was 4.8 stars which is great for any Jeep Accessory.
