Ok, so what makes the DeWalt cube vac the best small wet dry shop vacuum?  For us it was the size vs power ratio.  This shop vac has a 5 HP peak power, which is huge for this size vac!  We wanted a portable vacuum for cleaning the cars, cleaning the shop / garage, vacuum up wet spills, and a vacuum for sucking out / clearing the air conditioner PVC condensation pipe.  Most other vacuums of this size, which can be a little cheaper, come with much less power with many consumer complaints about being too weak to vacuum a car efficiently.  The size of this square cube style Dewalt vacuum is great as it stores easily on a shelf.
