Condos in Panama City Beach That Allow Owner Pets

If you are considering a beach condo in PCB and have pets / dogs, let’s discuss a few very important things to keep in mind and to take into account. First is, which condo buildings in the Panama City Beach area allow owners to have dogs. This is not as simple as looking at vacation rental sites to see which condos allow dogs. This is because some of the PCB HOA regulations for the condos allow the owners to have dogs but do not allow guests and renters to have pets.  There are pros and cons to both situations. We will present to you some condos that only allow owners and some that allow owner or renters / vacationers to have dogs.
The next thing to consider when you are considering which condo to purchase for you and your dog(s) is location. Most beaches, even those in front of dog friendly condos, do not allow dogs. If you and your k-9 companion like to go to the beach together, to may want to consider a condo that is close to the dog beach. We will talk more about this below in our Top 5 PCB Condos to Consider if You Want To Bring Your Dog(s). Also, pertaining to location, you may want to consider proximity to dog friendly restaurants. There are a lot of dog friendly dining options in Panama City Beach. We will briefly mention some of this in our Top 5 Condo Buildings below but we explore this much more in depth in our “Dog Friendly Restaurants in PCB”. CLICK HERE to read this article.Â
TOP 5 CONDOS IN PCB THAT ALLOW OWNERS TO HAVE DOGS
- Majestic Beach Towers – As dog owners, this is the condo that we purchased in, largely because of their dog policy. Majestic Beach Towers in Panama City Beach is an amazing property. It is relatively new (compared to many of its peers), very well managed and one of the most amenity rich condo resorts on PCB. Directly ocean front, Majestic is two 23 floor towers with all units directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The property has numerous outdoor pools and spas and two indoor, heated pools. It has a very nice gym, movie theater, restaurant, poolside bar, coffee shop, snack bar, and gift shop. All of these amenities, at which vacationers spend a lot of money at, help keep the HOA fees lower that many other beach condos in PCB that offer so many amenities. Majestic Beach Towers allows their owners to have dogs. It does not allow guests / renters to have dogs on property. It has a fenced dog area that is named for “Buddy”. He was a dog owned by some dear friends of ours that lived here for years and their dog Buddy passed while they were living here. Dogs must be registered with the HOA (representative on site) and will be issued a tag that lets staff know that your dog is allowed as you are an owner.
- Tidewater Beach Resort – We put this beautiful resort as second on our list for several reasons. It, like Majestic, allows owners have dogs but not renters/ guests. We feel, as we discussed above, is a major benefit for condo owners in PCB who own dogs. This property boasts a large ocean front gym complete with spa. The real gem of Tidewater are the two lagoon style pools that are gulf front and make for an amazing place to spend a day. Olshi Thai and Sushi restaurant is within walking distance, offers great food, but does not have any outdoor dining options to bring your dog.
- Edgewater Beach Resort – This is an expansive property with condos both on the beach and a little inland. It also offers villas on property. Owners at Edgewater are allowed to have dogs but not renters / guests. The HOA will issue a photo I.D. for owner’s dogs to display that they are permitted to be on property. This large resort has something special that none of the other on our list offer… an onsite golf course. That’s right, you can have your very own dog friendly, beachfront condo right on the beach and walk or ride your golf cart to the very nice onsite golf course. This resort feels just as much like a golf and tennis resort as it does a beach resort. This offers the best of both world and is a very family friendly option as there is something for everyone here. You will be within walking distance to several great restaurants here. Firefly is an Casual, Upscale dining experience that will keep you coming back again and again. Also within walking distance are a great Mexican restaurant and a bowling alley / game room that is great entertainment on a rainy day.
- Treasure Island – The resort is on the much quieter east end of the beach. It allows both owners and guests to have dogs. It has a small onsite dog walking area. Within walking distance is the very fun restaurant Schooners. They have great seafood, live music, and shoot a small cannon off at sunset. This end of the beach also features St Andrews State Park. This is a great place to explore all the nature that the beaches, uplands, and the beautiful pass leading into St Andrews Bay. Enjoy all the beauty that Panama City Beach’s emerald waters and white sands have to offer at a little slower pace here in the east end of PCB.
- Grand Panama Beach Resort – Pets are allowed at this beautiful property and you will love the location, especially if you have children. This resort is very close to Shipwreck Island Water Park which is a real favorite of the kiddos. Pools, including one that is heated / Gulf front, fitness center, and tiki bar make this a great place to own your very own PCB beach condo. Â
Panama City Beach is known for emerald waters and white sand beaches. If you have not experienced the beauty of this area, you owe it to yourself to consider ownership in the amazing beach community.

If you are looking for a great place to own your own beachfront vacation property that may be able to pay for itself, Panama City Beach is a great place to look. People from around the world are drawn year after year to these beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Boating, fishing, amazing dining, and beautiful vistas are just a few of the reasons why PCB is such a popular vacation destination. Owning a unit here and renting it our when you are gone is convenient due to the available property management companies. Some of the properties have rental programs right on premises which check-in desks located right in the lobby. These companies take care of cleaning, renting, collecting payment, minor repairs, and often coordinating major repairs.
Panama City Beach is also a favorite investment location for snowbirds who like to come to Florida for the winters to escape the cold of the north. Generally speaking, PCB is slower in the winter. Rents generated during this time are considerably lower than in the summer time. This makes PCB beach a great location for snowbirds to invest in an spend their winter in. It also tends to be more laid back with smaller crowds at restaurants and entertainment venues during winter months. As you can see from the graphic below, spending a few months in your unit during the winter and renting it out all summer can be a great situation. Bring your dogs to your beautiful beach condo for the winter and rent it out for the summer.
